Osogbo, Osun state
Governor Gboyega Oyetola says Infrastructure development is a core component of his administration development Agenda, envisioned as vehicle for speedy economic recovery, transformation and massive investment delivery.
Oyetola who was speaking at the inauguration of Igbajo/Ada road construction said the road is central to the tourism and hospitality potential of our State.
The road which was last touched in the 1987/88 spanning 13.2 kilometers will gulp 1.5 billion naira with the completion period of three months.
While emphasising that the government will never compromise quality, the Governor urged the contractor to stick to specifications in the construction of the road and deliver it at record time.
He urged the people take advantage of this road when completed to embark on meaningful agricultural, trading and entrepreneurial efforts for personal development.
Indigenes of the town, including the State Chairman of APC, Commissioner for Commerce and also a former commissioner for Communication and Strategy believe that the construction of the road will bring a new lease of life in education, agriculture, commerce and industry in the area.
“Our Administration has carried out 28 road intervention efforts across the three Senatorial Districts in line with the quality, equitable and adequate service/project delivery of our Development Agenda in less than two years in office. We shall continue to embark on these road intervention programmes as an anchor to the delivery of prosperity and development to our people and our State”. Oyetola stated.
